DOCUMENTING OUR YEAR OF LEARNING AND EXPLORATION

"This is what God's kingdom is like: a bunch of outcasts and oddballs gathered at a table, not because they are rich or worthy or good, but because they are hungry, because they said yes. And there's always room for more."  Rachel Held Evans

This program is made possible through a Vital Worship, Vital Preaching Grant from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, Grand Rapids, Michigan, with funds provided by Lilly Endowment Inc.

About

Always Room at the Table

The Gayton Kirk is a small, progressive congregation near Richmond, VA.  The Kirk has long been an incubator for creative ways of being church.  This has made it a home for an eclectic array of worshippers.

During 2024, we will be diving deeper into learning about innovative and nontraditional worship.  We want to know  how we can make more room at the table for everyone to participate fully in spiritually fulfilling worship.
